From time to time we shall feature “Nuts & Bolts” posts, which are designed to provide basic information on reinsurance- or arbitration-related topics. These posts are intended to be a resource for in-house and outside counsel, arbitrators, law students, and other persons who are interested in reinsurance or arbitration law (or both). Our coverage is not intended to be comprehensive, but merely to provide some hopefully helpful background and a springboard for further research.
Rather than citing a case for each legal proposition we make, we shall include at the end of each post a list of cases (and perhaps other sources) under the heading “Authority and Recommended Reading.” Where we directly quote from a case or other authoritative source, we shall cite the quoted authority in the text. If practicable, we will provide links to the listed and cited authority.
We hope you find our “Nuts & Bolts” posts informative and useful to whatever it is you do. If you have any questions concerning them, please post a comment or contact us at PJL1@LoreeLawFirm.com. Likewise, if you would like to augment or comment on our Nuts & Bolts posts, please do so using the comments feature or the e mail address above.
Our first “Nuts & Bolts” post will be entitled “When is an Arbitration Award Final and Why does it Matter?”
